Book design, non-fiction books. Eisteddfod to Stage

The Eisteddfod to Stage book, by well-known author Ann Howard. Ann came to me with hundreds of pages of copy, photos, emails, and articles. Her research into the Ryde Eisteddfod for the last 30 years was thorough. The culmination of over 1000 hours of work for her, now needed to be compiled into a book. The project involved scanning over 120 photographs, taking the copy she had written, and turning it into a book. The beautiful book we see today features children who grew up competing at the eisteddfod and some who became professional performers. It was an interesting but daunting project.

Eisteddfod to Stage: The Ryde Eisteddfod

The finished Eisteddfod to Stage book is spectacular. The cover design captures the spirit of the eisteddfod. There is a splash of colour and a performer who competed as a child and now adjudicates. The book was printed with a wrap-around front cover on 300gsm matt laminated stock. It was presented to the Eisteddfod committee by the author and has been popular with performers, parents, and historians alike.
